Well, we participated in Earth hour here at home in Louisville. I have to say, I was very disappointed when I looked outside and saw how many neighbors had their lights on. Of course, when I looked at the Courier Journal at around 8:15pm, there was no mention of Earth Hour there. Looking at the website http://www.earthhour.org/home/ I can't believe how few cities from Kentucky participated. We should be ashamed. I can't make up for all of Kentucky, but I did decide at our house, we would participate in Earth Hour for all the time zones. So, no lights or candles here for 4 hours. Needless to say, it has been a very pleasant evening at home. Now, why do we only do this once a year? I think we are going to start having Earth Hour every night at our house.
1 more hour and we have done 4 hours here. If the lights continue to stay out and we go to sleep for 8 hours, we will have cut out the lights for 12 hours. Now how nice would that be to do everyday!
